Youth Speak: Tibetan Students at Jawaharlal Nehru University (J.N.U.) Discuss Tibetan Election 2016

The Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD) presents footage of Tibetan students at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) discussed issues and candidates related to the 2016 elections for Sikyong and Tibetan parliament in exile. The discussion was facilitated by TCHRD senior researcher Mr Tenzin Nyinjey and information officer Ms Sonam Dolkar.

The video series are part of TCHRD’s ‘Youth Speak: Tibetan Election 2016’ campaign. The campaign is aimed at informing and involving the exile Tibetan youth voters in roundtable discussions, informal interactions, and short one-on-one interviews on the 2016 election to the post of Sikyong and the exile Tibetan parliament. Tibetan youth form an important part of the exile Tibetan electorate.

The video series on the campaign will be released twice every week from 2 October leading up to the 18 October preliminary election.

If you are a youth from 18 to 25 years old, you can send us your questions or issues related to the 2016 election that you would like to be discussed in the series and we will feature it. Send your emails to Ms. Sonam Dolkar at sonam.dolkar(at)tchrd.org.
